Owen, who was President of CIPHE in 1996/97, was one of the guiding hands in supporting the modernisation of the governance of CIPHE. As a plumbing teacher, he was responsible for the education of many plumbers still practicing today and was very well known to many in our industry. His good humour and supportive manner were appreciated by many of us over the years. He will be greatly missed. I am honoured that he was able to attend my Installation Service and lunch on 15th October, his last public appearance.
Our sincere condolences have been conveyed to his sister Mary and sons Martin & Chris and their families.

The funeral service will be held on:-
Monday 12th January at St Thomas of Canterbury Church, London Road, Rainham, ME8 7RH at 11:30am.
A Burial service will be held at:-
Woodlands Cemetery Woodlands Road ME7 2DX at 1pm.
Followed by a wake at :-
Gillingham Golf Club Woodlands Road, ME7 2AP.
The family has indicated that they would be delighted if you can join them in celebrating Owens’ life and reminiscing with them over a drink or 2 at the golf club.
