Supporting the Charity

We can only continue to support the various organisations doing impactful work with the regular help of our Liverymen.

Donating money to The Plumbers Charity is an ideal way to support the craft, and what it represents, both in the UK and worldwide.

Charity Support – Thank You Once Again, Mike

We’d like to celebrate Liveryman Mike Horwood who was among thousands from all over the UK who took part in the Cancer Research UK Etape Caledonia 2026 cycling challenge on Sunday, May 10.

Mike completed the 55-mile route in four hours, 10 minutes and 42 seconds, raising funds for The Plumbers Charity’. Thank you Mike!

He has been a Liveryman since 1997 and over the years has raised a great deal of money for The Plumbers Charity including a ride in Mongolia and a Sahara Trek. He has also run 23 London Marathons, including the first in 1981, and done two Etape du Tour cycling events in France. A retired plumber, Mike has been cycling for more than 70 years. He started road racing after his plumbing apprenticeship required him to cycle a daily 20-mile round trip to and from work.
