It is with much sadness that we have learned of the death of Liveryman Richard Derry, who passed away on 8 June at the age of 74 after a long illness. Richard trained as a plumber on leaving school before joining the family business R I Derry and Son, where he eventually succeeded his father to become the eighth generation to run the company. Founded in 1734, it is the oldest plumbing business still in existence.
Our thoughts and condolences go to his widow Rita, his brother Liveryman James Derry and all the family.
