HM King Charles Invites Plumbers 14 May 2025
HM King Charles sent the Worshipful Company of Plumbers an invitation to nominate two members (plus partners) to attend a Garden Party at Buckingham Palace on 14 May 2025.
We receive a Garden Party invitation annually for the Master and Consort (the Master and Mistress had a splendid day at the Palace on 7 May), but we have not received a second invitation like this in many years. The King stated that the Garden Party was to recognise “education and skills”.
The Master, wishing to acknowledge their valuable work at the Plumbing Museum and Workshop Trust, nominated Lvy Peter Cheesman and Lvy Edward McCourt. Our citation to the Palace said that they are both lead demonstrators in the historic craft of lead casting and were crucial in the creation of two lead cast planters to commemorate the Coronation and which now grace Sandringham House.
We are pleased to hear that Peter and Debbie and Eddie and Jane had a great experience enjoying a marvellous day with beautiful weather, as the photograph shows. Congratulations to you both.
