UK Ambassador to Nepal Lays On Reception for our PPDS Volunteers

Charity News Company News

His Majesty’s Ambassador to Nepal, Rob Fenn, lays on a reception in the Embassy for our four PPDS volunteers on their return to Kathmandu.

The Ambassador, Rob Fenn (4th right), with our volunteers

In a wonderful recognition of all our volunteers have achieved on the Bokhejunda Water Distribution Project and to say thank you, our “Fabulous Four” –  Ruben Duggan, Ollie Salmon, Daisy Turner and Ethan Wynn – were invited by the Ambassador to the Embassy.

The aim of the reception was to create a learning and sharing environment with our four PPDS volunteers and representatives from the Nepalese National Water Supply and Sanitation Research, Innovation and Capacity Development Centre (NWSSRICDC), Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), the Gurkha Welfare Trust (GWT), Balaju School of Engineering (BSET) and others.

Our intrepid four were asked to give a short presentation on their work to the other guests. Click on the picture of them above to the right to see a short clip of what they had to say.

They have received the following note from the Embassy:

Dear All,

On behalf of HMA Rob, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to each of you for your active participation and valuable input during the event. It was truly a pleasure to learn more about your work and contributions to water and plumbing sectors and professions.

We look forward to visiting BSET in Balaju and NWSSRICDC in Nuwakot in the near future.

@Saroj Powdel ji, please convey this message to all those brilliant volunteers from UK.

Thank you.

Best:

Kamala
