PPDS Nepal Project Guildhall Reception – 5 March 2026
Alderman Prem Goyal CBE laid on a reception in the Guildhall on 5 March 2026 to thank our “Fab Four” volunteers for completing their outstanding Bokhejunda Water Distribution Project in Nepal in support of the Dolma Foundation.
Many of you will have been following the exploits of our four intrepid Plumbing Professionals Development Scheme (PPDS) volunteers, Ruben Duggan, Ollie Salmon, Daisy Turner and Ethan Wynn who flew to Nepal in November 2025 to complete a challenging project to instal a water supply system to a remote village in the Himalayas. The Bokhejunda Water Distribution Project provides all the inhabitants of Changam Basti village with 24-hour filtered, clean running water transforming their health, hygiene and quality of life.

The four volunteers, the project sponsors, PPDS scheme managers and representatives from the City of London and the Construction Livery Group were all generously invited by Alderman Prem Goyal, a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Plumbers, to celebrate the success of the project in the Guildhall. After welcoming all the guests, he invited Master Sandra Raine and Dolma Foundation founder, Liveryman Professor Tim Gocher, to speak before handing the floor over to the four volunteers to give a brief presentation on the project itself.
The project has received wide acclaim here in the UK and in Nepal, where the UK Ambassador also laid on a reception for our volunteers before they left to thank them and praise their work. You can hear more about the Nepal project from our 4 volunteers at the World Plumbing Conference at the NEC Birmingham on 25 June 2026 when they will be presenting to all the international trade delegates.
In line with one of the aims of the scheme, the PPDS managers are now looking at new potential charity projects. Details will be published in due course.
