Master Sandra Raine was delighted to host a packed table of Liverymen and guests, with 50 diners in attendance within the splendid Elizabethan Revival architecture of Ironmongers Hall.

Plumbers Table at Ironmongers Hall – 9th February 2026

The regular half year “Plumbers Table” took place at Ironmongers Hall on Monday. Built in 1925 in the neo-Tudor style, it has a unique style of being a country house in the City and is a superb venue to host a get together and support a networking lunch. Following a welcoming drinks reception the guests were led into the Banqueting Hall and were seated at a packed table with 50 attendees providing a lively atmosphere and partook of the usual excellent lunch that Ironmongers Hall is renowned for. A special thank you to Past Steward Philippa Stary for her efforts in co-ordinating this event.

The Master, Sandra Raine, sincerely thanked our hosts from the Ironmongers Livery, and announced a welcome to a number of guests:

  • The Right Honourable Lord Bates,  Minister of State for International Development 2016-2019 and former Deputy Speaker in the House of Lords and guest of Lord Kirkhope

  • Noel Young, guest of Past Master Erica Stary, legal professional and construction entrepreneur.

  • Guy Waterland,  COO and founder of Plan D, private investment market solution entrepreneur and a guest of the Master

  • Nic Drew, Freeman and Business Development Manager of Monument Tools, a guest of Renter Warden Michael Cooper

  • Neil Dodge, Freeman and Project Manager at Sizewell C, also a guest of Michael Cooper
  • Matt Ilic, guest of Lvy Peter Smith, Matt is  CEO of Greenworkx, a training consultancy in the green energy space
  • Michael May, also a guest of Peter’s and is the Founder of Installio, a renewable energy retrofit business deploying replacement heat pumps and charging units in place of legacy equipment
  • James Rolles, another guest of Peter’s, James has applied to join the company and is an Advisor to a Transport Union.
  • Rupert Warmington, a guest of Dominic Holland, Rupert is a bond trader and a pioneer in the computerisation of the bond markets.
  • Stuart Galton, a Plumbing and Heating Engineer based in Dorset was hosted by Upper Warden Janet Rivers

Thanks also to other Liverymen bringing along friends and family as returning guests and helping to create a warm atmosphere of friendly fellowship. We hope to see an equally strong turnout for this event in the second half of the year.
