Plumbers’ Carols Break New Record! – 10 December 2025
The Worshipful Company of Plumbers’ annual Carol Service at St Magnus the Martyr achieved a record-breaking attendance, with more than 115 Liverymen, Freemen and guests gathering for a festive evening of music, fellowship and seasonal celebration.
The Worshipful Company of Plumbers enjoyed its largest-ever attendance at the much-loved annual Carol Service, held at our Company church, St Magnus the Martyr, on Wednesday 10 December 2025. The evening was warmly hosted by Master Sandra Raine and Consort Lvy Ian Raine, who welcomed the Immediate Past Master Charles Brooks and Consort Penny, together with more than 115 Liverymen, Freemen and guests, filling the historic church to capacity.

A relieved Senior Steward!
The service was led by our Honorary Company Chaplain Fr Philip Warner, whose thoughtful words and guidance set the tone for a memorable evening. Fine music was provided by the choir, with organ accompaniment expertly delivered by our own Finance & Office Assistant, Adrian Mumford. Festive hospitality followed, with splendid mince pies baked by Immediate Past Mistress Penny Brooks, mulled wine, and a generous buffet and premium wines organised by a dedicated team of stewards.

It was a wonderful way to celebrate the season on a crisp winter’s evening, setting a new benchmark for future services. The Master and Consort extend their sincere thanks to all who contributed. Our advice for next year: book early, as this cherished Company event continues to grow in popularity.
