HIP Learner of the Year Final – 26 & 27 March 2025
With a proud tradition of promoting professionalism and nurturing the next generation of talent, the Worshipful Company of Plumbers was honoured to sponsor the HIP Learner of the Year 2025 competition.

A Celebration of Craftsmanship and Commitment
This prestigious event provides an invaluable platform for aspiring plumbing students to showcase their technical abilities, grow in confidence, and connect with others in the industry. Many past participants have gone on to achieve great things in their careers, underlining the powerful and positive impact of this competition.
After a series of challenging regional heats, the Grand Final was held on 26 and 27 March 2025 at Bostik Academy in Stafford, hosted by headline sponsor OB1. Seven exceptional finalists were selected for this rigorous two-day contest, where their skills, dedication, and industry knowledge were put to the test.

Representing the Company at the final were Upper Warden Sandra Raine, Assistant Julie Spinks, and Liveryman Ian Raine. All three were deeply impressed by the energy, professionalism, and talent on display from this year’s finalists.
Congratulations to all the competitors — each of whom demonstrated outstanding craftsmanship and should be proud of their achievements. Jackson Gill, from New College Durham, was crowned the HIP Learner of the Year 2025, with Dexter Pude of Ignite Training finishing as a close runner-up.
Runner Up Dexter Pude
All finalists received a Certificate of Excellence from the Worshipful Company of Plumbers. In recognition of his success, Jackson Gill was also awarded a handcrafted lead shield, made by our expert volunteers at Amberley Museum.
