Masters’ & Clerks’ Lunch
The Master and Wardens and Court of Assistants invite you to join them for lunch in the splendid surroundings of Carpenters’ Hall, the home of our office, on Throgmorton Avenue on Wednesday 27th April at 1230hr for 1300hr.

Our guest speaker will be award-winning writer, Tom Chivers, author of ‘London Clay: Journeys in the Deep City’. “Through a combination of historical research and vivid reportage, Tom’s book follows hidden pathways, lost islands and geological mysteries that burst up through the pavement and bubble to the surface of our streets”. Tom Chivers has also published two collections of poetry including ‘London: A History in Verse’.
We will be joined by Masters and Clerks from at least seven other Livery Companies and welcoming six new Liverymen to be clothed that morning with their partners.
The cost of the reception (with sparkling wine from Devon) and three-course luncheon with wines and vintage port is £95 per head. Dress is lounge suit or equivalent with Livery Badges. Liverymen are welcome to bring guests to this event.
Please apply through the website no later than Wednesday 20th April.
I look forward to seeing you at what promises to be a most excellent event.
