Ladle Dinner 2024

18:15 Tuesday 12th November 2024.

On 12th November, the Senior Steward, Philippa Stary, and Stewards invite you to join them in entertaining the Master and Wardens in honouring the Immediate Past Master, David Adams, at this year’s Ladle Dinner and thanking him for all he has done for the Company over the last year. And on the occasion of his last day in office, the Clerk will give a short speech and propose the health of the Company.

We are fortunate to have the opportunity to dine at the wonderfully characterful and historic Armourers’ Hall. The hall is close to Moorgate station on the corner of London Wall: 81 Coleman Street, London EC2R 5BJ

Timings:

6.15 pm Reception

6.45 pm Dinner

10.30 pm Carriages

Dress: Lounge Suit, Livery Ties and Badges.

The cost is £120 per head – to include reception drinks, a three-course dinner, fine wines from our own cellar, coffee and stirrup cup.

The Ladle Dinner is the main occasion in the year when Liverymen have the opportunity to meet, get to know each other and make new friends. It is a relaxed, fun and informal dinner. As a suggestion: Liverymen who have acted as a sponsor might like to get in touch with Liverymen they have sponsored and make up a party.

The Clerk’s Cupboard will be open with items on sale including: ties, ladies’ scarfs, Parker ballpoint pens, Plumbers’ whiskey, gin, and rum, and glass tumblers. Do bring cash/credit cards!

Please note that the event is for Liverymen only and not open to partners or guests and note that pour memoires are not sent.
