Admission of New Freemen at the Guildhall – 15 April 2025
Air Commodore Wendy Rothery and Ilirjan Mazrreku were admitted as Freemen of the Worshipful Company of Plumbers at a traditional ceremony held at the Guildhall on 15 April 2025, followed by a convivial gathering at the City Livery Club.
MEET OUR NEWEST FREEMEN
On 15th April 2025 at the Guildhall Air Commodore Wendy Rothery and Ilirjan Mazrreku were admitted as Freemen. Wendy was accompanied by her husband Dai and sponsors PM Paul Nash and Lvy. Barbara Cooper and Ilirjan by his wife Eva and RW Janet Rivers. UW Sandra Raine attended on behalf of the Master.

The Clerk to the Chamberlains Court oversaw the swearing in using the words of the ancient ceremony. She then provided a short talk on some of the more famous people who had been through the ceremony and exhibits on display. The star of the show as ever, was Barbara the sheep (not Lvy. Cooper), who attracted much attention and desire for photographs.

Plumbers, Freemen and guests retired to the City Livery Club where the spirit of Fellowship was enjoyed in the Plumbers favoured fashion with a joyful toast for long life and joy as the Freemen continue their path to being clothed.
