Past Masters’ Consorts Appeal – 7 December 2025
We write on behalf of the Past Masters’ Consorts to share our deep appreciation for the exceptional work undertaken by the volunteers at the Company’s Plumbing Museum. Their dedication has greatly enhanced the Museum’s profile, and this letter sets out our wish to support them in improving the visitor experience even further.
From the Past Masters’ Consorts
Dear Liverymen
I Think you will agree with us that the volunteers at the Company’s Plumbing Museum have pulled out all of the stops over the past couple of years, adding hugely to the Plumbers profile, producing the amazing planters for The king and Queen, the small replicas for the Plumbers and the Gardeners Companies, and then most recently the magnificent planter for HMS Sultan.

We, the Past Masters Consorts, as a body would like to do something in return. All involved with the museum and most especially the volunteers, would like to improve the exhibits to enable visitors to the Plumbing Museum to enjoy them even when the workshop is not manned.
The volunteers have done so much but funds are limited. This is where we could step in as a sign of appreciation of all they have done so magnificently well.
The Past Masters Consorts would like to raise funds towards this much needed sensory equipment and propose to do so by walking a marathon and would ask for sponsorship from your good selves, and in doing so showing the volunteers at the Museum how very much we appreciate all they have done to raise the profile of The Company.
We aim to walk this collective marathon over the coming festive season and would ask if all Liverymen would support us by sponsoring this feat, no matter how small or large, and show our appreciation to those amazing volunteers.
