Summer Festival – Price Lower than last year
Dr. Shaun Wallace

Our guest speaker this year is Dr. Shaun Wallace.  Shaun will be well known to fans of ITV’s ‘The Chase’ in which he has appeared since 2009.  Nicknamed ‘The Dark Destroyer’, he frequently dashes contestants’ hopes of securing cash prizes.  Shaun became BBC’s iconic ‘Mastermind’ champion in 2004 and has been a dominant personality on the quizzing scene ever since.

From an early age, Shaun’s ambition was to be a barrister, which he achieved when he was admitted to the bar in 1984.  He is currently a member of Great James Street Chambers and is an Honorary Doctor of Laws.  He is a senior criminal defence advocate with over 35 years’ experience.  He also lectures in subjects such as environmental law and health and safety law.

Trinity House is a charity dedicated to safeguarding shipping and seafarers, providing education, support and welfare to the seafaring community with a statutory duty as a General Lighthouse Authority to deliver a reliable, efficient and cost-effective aids to navigation service for the benefit and safety of all mariners.  The beautifully appointed rooms at its headquarters building have hosted royalty, mariners, prime ministers, scientists and visitors from all over the world and houses many fine paintings, models and treasures.

In addition to our guest speaker, there will be a musical interlude, with a watery theme of course.

The cost of this event will be £130 per person, lower than last year.  Dress code: Black Tie (Dinner Jacket) or Mess Dress/Service Dress for military guests, cocktail dresses.

This is always an evening of fun and fellowship to which all Members of the Livery, their partners and guests will be given a hearty welcome.  We had some fantastic feedback following ourBanquet and April Court Lunch.  If you missed them, why not make this Summer Festival the one where you join in the fun. Please book your place early to avoid disappointment.

Please make bookings no later than Friday 26th June
