The Worshipful Company of Plumbers has released its WCoP Annual Review 2025, highlighting a year of remarkable progress, camaraderie, and dedication to both the craft and the community.
2025: A Year of Leadership and Progress
The Worshipful Company of Plumbers entered 2025 with strong momentum and a clear sense of purpose. Charles Brooks as Master, focused on strengthening fellowship, deepening industry engagement, and supporting the next generation through education and skills.
Highlights from the Year
- Fellowship & Events: A full programme including the Master’s Break, Annual Lecture, and inter-livery events reinforced the social and professional life of the Company.
- Education & Skills: Continued sponsorship of the HIP Learner of the Year and Female Skills Competitions promoted excellence, diversity, and opportunity within the plumbing profession.
- Heritage & Craft: The Plumbing Museum and Workshop Trust at Amberley received the King’s Award for Voluntary Service, with volunteers producing Coronation Planters for Sandringham House.
- Charity & Impact: The Plumbers’ Charity expanded clean-water projects overseas, supported disaster relief through Aquabox, and continued sponsorship of Medical Detection Dog “Plum”.
- Leadership & Diversity: Julie Spinks joined the Court as a Court Assistant, while Debbie Abergil became the Company’s first female Clerk. Female representation on the Court reached a record level.
- Looking Ahead: Preparations were made for relocation to Painter’ Hall during the refurbishment of Carpenters’ Hall, ensuring continuity into 2025 and beyond.
